“This is ridiculous, Korra.”

“It is not ridiculous, Tahno- it is one of the small novelties in life, like watching the sunset, or sleeping by the ocean, or skydiving, or whatever.”

“So, painting with glitter is one of life’s passages?”

“Precisely.”

He sighed when he saw the sparkle in her eyes- she was really, truly enjoying this.

“Fine, fine. But, if my fingers get stuck with glue, I’m blaming you.”

“Prince Mako! Prince Mako- come out, you little brat!”

He glanced at his new companion nervously, crouching further down in the grassland as he narrowly avoided being spotted by Lin Beifong, the royal adviser. He knew he really shouldn’t be hiding, but his adoptive father Tenzin could be, well, to put it lightly, overprotective.

“Go.” Her voice made him look up, and he stared at her with wide eyes as she gestured towards the old mandrill.

“B-But, I don’t want to-“

“It’s alright, Mako. We’ll meet again.”

With that, she nudged him up, putting him in Lin’s line of sight. Before he could say a word, the dark cub he had befriended vanished into the grass, her tail the last thing he saw of her before Lin was upon him.

He didn’t see her for years after that, but…

“Korra?”

Her smirk was the same as it always was.

“Told you we’d meet again, Mako.”

;alskdjfksj okie dokie- Ceiling fans and clocks, right? Here :D

She had no idea what the drunk bastard was doing.

“I wonder ‘ow these things work…” He slurred, poking the face of a clock. His face was twisted up in a ridiculous pout, and his red cheeks gave away his intoxication. From across the room, she laughed.

“Don’t break your brain there, sweetheart. Leave the clock making to the clockmakers.” She chugged down another swig from one of her barrels, watching with pure amusement as he stumbled over to her. He had been at the bar much longer than her, and had managed to drink half her load before she had even appeared. She knew she should have been angry, but his drunk rumblings were just too funny.

He plopped in a seat next to her, his head tilted up as he stared at some unknown thing.

“…What u’bout those fans up ‘ere?”

“Sailor Moon,” An irritated voice came from her right just as she woke up, and she found herself cringing. “Need I remind you that throwing yourself into every battle isn’t exactly the best of plans?”

“Oh, calm down, Sailor Mars!” The loud and boisterous voice of Sailor Jupiter cut in, his laughter evident. “She did well!”

“Yeah, Mars.” Mercury giggled somewhere on her left. “It all worked out.”

Korra finally let her eyes open, her vision focusing slowly and revealing the colors of her room. Around her, her fellow Senshi watched her, Bolin and Asami with amusement, and Mako with poorly hidden worry.

“Ah, hey guys.”

Anonymous sent: I know I'm late but... What about Mako, the dinosaur?

He didn’t really mind being a carnivore- circle of life, really. He had to kill to survive and provide for his brother. He didn’t really feel bad for it anymore, because guilt got in the way of hunts and he couldn’t take that kind of risk.

But, if he heard one more comment from Korra about-

“You have tiny arms.”

Why didn’t he just eat her?!

Jinora pounded on the keyboard when she saw the sheer number of hornets X.A.N.A sent out. It simply wasn’t fair- why did it have to get more powerful just as they started making progress?

“Mako, you’ve got a few coming in! Protect Korra at all costs until she reaches the tower!”

In Lyoko, Mako nodded, gesturing for his brother to stay close.

“Got it. How’s Asami doing?”

“She’s managing to hold them off ahead of you, but she won’t last much longer. You’re going to be flooded with them soon, if you don’t hurry.” Jinora scowled at her computer screen as more little blips appeared. “Basically, it’s in your best interest to get moving. Now.”

“Roger, Jinora.” Bolin mock-saluted her, an easy grin on his lips. He saw no chance of failure. “How’re you holding up, Korra?”

“I’m fine!” The indignant dark-skinned girl huffed, breaking out into a defiant sprint. “I don’t need to be babysat- you heard the girl, we need to get moving!”

generallyhonourable sent: Everyone is babies. And also a digimon.

Kudamon really had no idea what was going on.

One moment the Digital Dive began to act up, and the next moment there are four small children crawling around the tile, one blasting what seemed to be water at one who had an electric glove on, another babbling on and on with rocks floating at his wrists, and the other simply napping under one of the chairs.

Really, he had no idea what was going on.

But, he had a feeling Masaru had something to do with it.

Anonymous sent: MAKORRA. DOLPHIN RIDING and eating peanut butter. ( is this weird enough?)

Dolphins scared him.

A lot.

Though, to be fair, he wasn’t exactly a fan of water in the first place. The only reason he actually came on this little trip was because Korra had pulled out the dumb puppy eyes- his ultimate downfall.

But, he drew the line at the dolphin riding. He had to draw it, for his sanity would not be preserved if he kept saying yes to her. He just couldn’t.

And, yet, he soon found himself clinging to the back of a dolphin, his girlfriend laughing and casually eating what appeared to be peanut butter beside him as he did.

Anonymous sent: au where mako and korra are fruits in a bowl. talking fruits.

They are fruits.

In a bowl.

Life couldn’t get more boring than being a fruit forced to sit in a bowl for the entirety of her short existence, but Korra made it work.

Particularly by bothering a certain brooding snack next to her.

rescuepepperpotts sent: Okay ummm how about Pabu not being used to the Pole in Book 2, so he's cold and adorable Bolin cuddling Pabu happens and THEN there's a whole big group hug yes good

The poor furball was freezing.

Korra was torn between snorting or warming the little guy up with a bit of firebending, and she went with the former once she noticed the icicles dangling from the critter’s nose. Mako was in a similar situation with the cold that morning and all she could picture was his face on Pabu’s body, curling up and shivering under the table, and-

“Korra, stop laughing!” Bolin cried, scooping up his Fireferret and cradling him to his chest, crooning soft little encouragements to the miffed and chilled animal. Korra hardly contained her giggles, but she had the decency to waddle over to Bolin and throw her arms around him, adding her body heat to the mix. Asami followed soon after, chuckling as she wiggled into the impromptu hug. Mako came last, a pout marring his features as he joined in, though if it was for his own benefit or for Pabu’s was questionable.

They stayed like that for the longest time, none of them noticing their furry little friend had slipped away about 5 minutes in.
