The Tricks of the Trade Challenge
Okay, so this is a concept I came up with for everyone (myself included) that will be bored during the summer. Shows sometimes wind down during break, and fandoms can get jittery while waiting for new seasons (*COUGH* KORRA FANDOM *COUGH*). So, I figured, why not try something new?
I call this the Tricks of the Trade Challenge because the concept is to go around your fandom and learn.
I’m a writer, personally. So, for the Tricks of the Trade, I’ll migrate to different fields and try different things.
So, my bucketlist would be:
- Graphics
- GIFs
- Fanart
- AMVs
- Rollplaying
- and Composition
You add more, depending on what you can think up.
Seriously, though. Have you ever seen those people you really admire doing beautiful things with their time?
Why don’t you try it?
The only way to truly appreciate the amazingness of something is to learn the processes of making it!
So, I challenge all of you poor souls who are merely wallowing in the endless, intimidating bounty summer vacation provides, to try something new! Go around your fandom, communicate with people you don’t normally communicate with, collect information, experiment, etc. etc. The fun is that you might not get it right the first time, but if you try, you can make something wonderful!
This is in no way some sort of ‘project’, and there’s no need to tag it as such. This is what I’m going to do over the summer, and I figured I’d share the idea with you!
