“Get out of here before I beat the shit out of you, Tahno.”
It was early, she was tired, and Tahno had no reason to be at the Pro-Bending Arena at 7 in the morning. Shouldn’t he be catching up on his beauty sleep, or something? He needed as much as he could get.
“Ooh, I’m so scared.” He taunted, leaning against the door way of the gym and pointedly ignoring the glares of the other two Ferrets. He focused solely on Korra, beady eyes leering her in a less-than-appropriate way as she sent him a full force scowl.
“Get out.” She snapped, crossing her arms over her chest as if she felt his eyes there. But she didn’t- Korra was oblivious as always to the way the creepy man’s lingered under the collar when he looked at her. All she saw was an annoyance, not a pervert.
In response to the threat, Tahno shrugged nonchalantly.
Korra took a predatory step towards him, snarling.
“Fine, fine.” He flicked his hair to the side, straightening his back. “My offer still stands though, Uhvatar Korra.”
With that, he walked out. Mako and Bolin breathed twin breaths of relief.
Korra stuck her tongue out at the spot he had been.
“‘Uhvatar’ Korra. It’s Avatar. What an ass.” She huffed, hands settling on her hips as she continued her childish display.
“I told you he was bad news that night you met him in the restaurant!” Bolin announced, picking up his weights.
“You’ve met him outside of the arena?” For some reason, that irked Mako. Since his break up with Asami, he’d found himself paying more and more attention to Korra. So, whenever something slipped around his radar, it bothered him.
“Oh, right.” Korra rolled her eyes, her face twisting up into a decidedly sour expression. “‘If you wanna know how a real pro bends,’” She drawled in a comic approximation of Tahno’s deep voice, “‘I could give you some private lessons.’”
“I remember that!” Bolin laughed, but it trailed off to more of an awkward chuckle when he caught sight of his brother’s dark expression.
“He. Said. What.”
“He offered me ‘Private Lessons’- Whatever the hell that means. Why does it matter, anyway?” She asked innocently, tilting her head to the side curiously. Mako’s fingers curled up into fists and before Korra could ask what was wrong, he stomped out of the room.
“Hey Mako!” Bolin called out lazily as his sibling left. “Just try not to hit him, or we’ll get kicked out of the Tournament, okay?”
“Where did he go?” Korra pouted, bending some water out of a nearby tank and playing with it absently. “We still have practice.”
“Hm.” Bolin smiled a sly smile. Really, the Avatar was too naive for her own good. Jokingly, he said, “Maybe he went to go take Tahno up on his offer of lessons.”
